The Directorate-General for Infrastructure and Logistics of the European Parliament has recently launched a call for tenders to procure a Design Contractor for design services regarding the renovation of the Paul-Henri SPAAK building in Brussels, which is home to the hemicycle of the Institution.

This call for tender encompasses the integration of all fields of expertise needed for the renovation works, and in particular architectural design, engineering and environmental design.
From a technical point of view, the scope of the SPAAK building renovation includes complex interventions on existing large meeting rooms, structural reinforcements, minor modifications to the building envelope without altering the existing shape, and integration of different necessary energy and sustainable building techniques. Consequently, the Design Contractor will also be in charge of permitting for the project.
They call for experienced and integrated design teams with a special focus on complex building renovations, and cordially invite you to broadcast this information to the largest extent possible.
