MILTOWN - CITY OF THE FUTURE It was the governor of the Central Bohemian Region, Mrs. Pokorná - Jermanová, who came up with the idea and request to create a concept for the city of the future. The project was awarded to the Center of the City of the Future, which is part of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics of the Czech Technical University in Prague. IDEA The basic idea was clear from the first moment. Design a city with the unique DNA it will have from the first parts of this new urban structure to be built. A city that emerges and grows into its prosperous future, a city that cooperates with its surroundings and is a good neighbor. The city was named MILTOWN. Town for millennials who will build it and start. VISION The vision was based on simple but very fundamental assumptions. Let's build CITY, where: people of all generations, animals and robots of all kinds can coexist a city with a strong economy and a society of agile people an experimental city based on knowledge and innovation of the 21st century! where a green and sustainable environment is a necessity city pleasant from morning to late night a smart city with intelligent buildings surrounded by nature parks and urban space for relaxation and meetings where traditional urban archetypes meet futuristic design, a healthy city, beautiful, walkable, friendly and pleasant to visit, but most of all - resilient!
